The one and only God describes himself as a safe place for anyone who seeks refuge in him. He is the one god who provides safety, prosperity, and healing. God never shames the weary. Instead, he calls himself their righteousness and strength.

God boasts in what he gives to people.

If you’re weary and you feel distant from the God who helps, don’t be afraid or downcast because he is nearer than the air we breathe. He is always kind. He is quick to assure our souls of his safety in him.

The creation of the nation of Israel was to make the nations jealous. And, then the savior going to the nations was to inspire jealousy of Israel. And the result is to get all the world to worship the one and only God.

“The God of the whole earth shall He be called.”

Isaiah 54:5

When the nations are ready to seek the one true God what can they expect to meet, rebuke and anger? No one who asks God for healing in surrender and humility is rebuked for past sins, but God gives from his compassion. And his plan for the nations who don’t know him yet has always been healing.
