What we seek

We are not interested in adding a list of to-do’s on God’s, assumed, behalf, but instead, we seek to lighten your load by reminding you that Jesus is carrying it all. When we get near to him, as much as we fear him, we know his love enough; he made us and he is still sustaining our lives because he loves us and works to prosper us in his righteousness.

And God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

“Then they [the crowd] asked him [Jesus], ‘What must we do to do the works God requires?’

“Jesus answered them, ‘The works of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.’”

John 6:28,29

As a ministry, we seek nothing from those with whom we pray. As friends in Christ, we seek to remind you that Jesus is helping: he sees you and loves you. We take time to listen to the Holy Spirit for words of wisdom that come in a variety of forms. The more we know the heart of Almighty God, the more rest we have in our lives and peace we have in our hearts.

We seek the Lord for comfort:

“I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”

Isaiah 46:4

We seek the Lord for clarity

“For God has not giving to us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

2 Timothy 1:7

We seek the Lord for health

“The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”

Luke 7:22,23

We seek the Lord for justice

“From the west, people will fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the Lord drives along.”

Isaiah 59:19

We seek him to restore

“I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.”

Isaiah 44:22

We seek the Lord for grace

“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

Isaiah 43:25

We seek the Lord for peace

“‘Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”

Isaiah 54:10

We seek the Lord for strength

“They will say of me, ‘In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength.’”

Isaiah 45:24

We seek the Lord’s face

“As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.”

Psalm 17:16

Because when He is near, all these things are granted to us, and He does not with hold but gives all of himself.

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord gives favor and honor. He holds back nothing good from those who walk in the way that is right.”

Psalm 84:11

He redeems the lost for his own sake; to not break his own heart

“He saw there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm achieved salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him.”

Isaiah 59:16

Who can seek the Lord and be heard? Anyone, from anywhere.

“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth”

Isaiah 45:22
